BQ40Z50-R1: SDA&SCL ESD component position

Hi,

Electronic point of view, we need add ESD component to avoide pin damage. The topology is R + TVS or ESD + R at fuel gauge SDA and SCL pin via connector . What's the position of ESD component? It needs to close Gauge or connector?

Please place the spark gap close to the connector.

Hi Batt,
How about these two resistor position? One close connector and other one close fuel gauge or two resistors are close fuel gauge or two resistors are close connector?

Yes, you can place one close to the gauge and the other one close to the connector. That will help in better impedance matching.
