This was a processor issue, not a PMIC issue. Intel is releasing an updated PMC (Power Management Control), not a new PMIC. The PMIC is working properly, it was the master (processor) that was violating I2C specification.
The only case where we saw this issue having an impact on the TPS65094 was the case when external pull-up resistors were used in addition to the built in pull-ups inside the processor. In that case the SDA rise time was faster than the SCL fall time and could register as a STOP condition. For normal use case without external pull-ups we did not see this issue at any customers. Perhaps other PMIC vendors had more issue than us.
