Good afternoon - my customer is looking to use the TPS56637 in an upcoming design and they have a couple questions:
- Would this be ok to use for a variable output power supply? We need 9V/5A down to 1V/0.8A and are ok with some ripple. I’m afraid my control systems is a little rusty though, so I’m not sure how to go about checking the loop stability per 8.2.2.2. Thoughts?
- Regarding setting the output voltage, the equation in 8.2.2.1 (Equation 5) doesn’t include R5. Could you explain?
- On the placement of the filter in that resister divider – does it matter how the top feedback resistance is split up and where the RC element taps in?
