Energy harvesting (Other than Solar) for mobile devices.

Hey Guys,

I have been looking into energy harvesting from thermal/RF to use in a mobile device such as a cell phone, and was wondering if we have any TI Designs, EVM's, or other support information regarding this subject?

All I previously found was solar powered TI designs/EVMs, and a BQxxx battery charging device that is made for energy harvesting.

    Ryan,

    I am not aware of a TEG or RF energy harvesting reference design. Any battery charger with VINDPM feature (reduce allowed input current to the charger in order to prevent input voltage from drooping below a certain point) can be used with a high output impedance source like solar panel, RF source or TEG. The VINDPM threshold is set to the source's maximum power point.
