LM334: Operating below operating temperature

Hi guys, I would need some information on how the LM334 will behave when operated below operating temperature?

I have a circuit where LM234-3 is now used, but due to lack of components on market and price cut, I want to change it to LM334. But this has written operating temperature 0-70°C. I need to know how it will behave under this temperature, as it is not described in any technical note in common.

Hello Marcoo, the desired range is -25 to +60°C

Hi User,

We generally do not provide app notes on how the device will perform outside its recommended operating range. I can test a LM334 and see how it functions but I cannot guarantee its performance or functionality. Would it help you for me to test a LM334 from -25 to 60C?

Good day Marcoo, it would be fine to know the performance/behavior in range -25°C-0°C. the rest is specified well in datasheet.

Don´t you have any information about the replacement of LM234?

What do you mean by replacement for LM234? The LM234-3 is still available from TI.

Hi,

I tested the LM334 from 25C to -25C and the main difference is the Vr voltage due to the temperature drop. Keep in mind that the EC table for the LM334 was done from 0C to 70C and while the 3 devices I tested where did not see any issue, there can be variance from lot to lot.
