BQ40Z50: Guidance on how to program .senc file via external microcontroller into bq40z50

Hi,

We would like to use our product microcontroller to reflash the .senc file into bq40z50 without EV2300. Is there a document which explains the proper procedure with coding or commands to do so?

Hi,
Unfortunately the commands to do this are proprietary and can not be shared.
You can read and write the entire data flash content though using the instructions in the "0x4000–0x5FFF Data Flash Access()" section of the technical reference manual.

Does 0x4000–0x5FFF cover all the parameters that's changeable using the bqstudio?

Hi,
Yes, 0x4000 to 0x5FFF is the entire data flash that can be changed from bqStudio.
However, some sections in the higher range are used by the firmware as a scratchpad, and should not be programmed.
To check the exact range of addresses, the easiest way would be to enable "Advanced View" in preferences of bqStudio, and then in the data memory section, click the "Hex Dump".
this will export the entire memory used by data flash with the base address at 0x4000.
