TPS61030: TPS61030RSAR-ADJ is being used as a 5V battery booster

Part Number: TPS61030

Hello

I have designed into a product a TPS61030RSAR-ADJ to create 5V from (3) 1.5V battery's. The unit draws 600mA when operational and goes down to 100mA when in power saving mode.

On multiple unit's we can hear a faint buzzing when the load current is 100mA, we do not hear it when load is 600mA.

I can see the inductor switching is normally ~600kHz.

At 100mA load the inductor switching has the normal 600kHz but then stops switching then starts again. There is a low freq 10kHz on the switching side to the FET, I can send you an image.

This may be normal operating mode in low load conditions.     The SYNC pin on the  TPS61030RSAR-ADJ is connected to GND. I have no comp res/cap on the FB pin. How do simulate low and high current loads? Webbench is not very nice (maybe I do not know how to "probe" the web bench tool). How do I calculate the correct comp. circuit?
