Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC5310
I have purchased this isolated gate driver with the intention of using as a low-side n-type power mosfet gate driver. I have read through the datasheet fully but it does not explicitly say what the output pins should be if it is left unused, e.g. if I use output A to drive a power mosfet gate and output B is unused. The datasheet says on page 23 "The UCC20520 effectively combines both isolation and buffer-drive functions. The flexible, universal capability of the UCC20520 (with up to 18-V VCC1 and 25-V VDDA/VDDB) allows the device to be used as a low-side, high-side, high-side/low-side or half-bridge driver". Should I leave the output B pins as no connection? Or should I use a coupling capacitor between VDDB and VSSA as shown in the examples in the datasheet, but not connect it to anything else?
