TPS7A16: Accuracy including line & load regulation

Expert 4455 points
Part Number: TPS7A16

Hi,

If TPS7A16 input voltage varies anywhere between Vout+0.5V and 60V and at same time load varies between 10µA...100mA, is the total max accuracy over temperature +/- 2% or do you need to account for additional parameters like line & load regulation which could add another +/- 1% typical each?

Thanks,
KF

  • Hi KF,

The overall output accuracy for the TPS7A16 with the test conditions is +/- 2% as shown below. This is this device's total accuracy over line, load, and temperature, where the junction temperature ranges from -40 C to 125 C. The line and load ranges for this measurement are indicated in the second column:

As such, the overall accuracy specification includes the output variation due to the regulator's line and load regulation in addition to any variations due to temperature. You do not need to account for them.

    Thanks,

    Gerard
