Hello,

When TPS2115A is current limiting, what is behavior of it ?

Below is correct ? 

1st, Constant current while it decreases output voltage .

2nd, When thermal shutdown at Tj = 135 deg.

3rd, Restart at Tj = 125 deg.

    Thanks for reaching out on E2E! Your understanding is correct, the device will limit the current until it reaches thermal shutdown, and then retry after delay time. 

    For reference, are you interested in our next generation of power mux devices, the TPS2121? This device can support a higher current range than the TPS2115A, and has some additional features including priority operation, overvoltage and overcurrent protection, and thermal shutdown.

    Hi Arther,

    I proposed TPS2121 for my customer yet, but its current limit (min) is too large. they hope to select it 650mA & 1.2A .
    so they considering to select TPS2115A or TPS2553D×2.
