BQ25882: Set IINDPM to 500mA with stand alone mode at BQ25882EVM-001

Hi,

The customer would like to evaluate BQ25882EVM-001 without host control, and also would like to set IINDPM to 500mA. I know that it has RLIM potentiometer (R5) to adjust IINDPM setting but the minimum setting is 1.094A at R5=10kohm. They don't want to replace RILIM resistors, so I'd like to suggest to use D+/D- detection. Can it be set to SDP 500mA by shorting D+ and D- pin?
