UCC28880: Buck freewheeling diode requirment

Part Number: UCC28880

Hi Team

Our power module use 100ns reverse recovery time diode for freewheeling diode, but when we do the life test, the diode is breakdown.

So our question is when designed in DCM, the reverse-recovery time must be kept less than 75 ns as mentioned in the datasheet ? If it is , what's the reason ?

If we use above 75ns diode , Is it leaded to damage?
