LP8556: How to control LP8556 without using I2C?

Customer selects the following LP8556TMX-E02/NOPB.

As far as I see the below CFG2 in EPROM, it looks like that the brightness and backlight on/off can't control unless I2C is used. Is this understanding correct?

Or Are there any method to control them without using I2C?

    Hi Tamio,
    As your customer has choosed E02 version, the reg A2h was wirtten with "02h"(you can refer to datsheet 8.6.2.1). This data means the "BL_ON" bit is set with "0", that means the backlight was disabled. So for E02 version, you must need to use I2C to enable the backlight.
    If your customer doesn't have the I2C interface, they can choose E00/E08/E09/E03/E04/E06/E07/E09 depends on the datsheet page 3.
