CSD88599Q5DC: Tr and Tf

Part Number: CSD88599Q5DC

Hi,

Typical Tr and Tf of CSD88599 is shown in the datasheet.  What is the min and max value at the same conditions which are VDS=30V, VGS=10V, Rg=0ohm, and IDS=30A?

Best Regards, Taki

  • Hi,
Could you also show the min and max at 125deg.C?

  • Hi Taki san,
Thanks for the questions. We do not spec nor do we guarantee min/max for Tr and Tf. Please refer to the blog: e2e.ti.com/.../understanding-mosfet-data-sheets-part-5-switching-parameters. As stated in the blog, these parameters are very dependent on board layout and circuit design. More useful for determing switching speed are the gate charge and internal gate resistance of the device.
  • Hi, John-san
Thank you four your quick response.

The purpose of my question is to know the value as reference. No need to guarantee.
Could you please estimate min/max for Tr and Tf?
I think that the drain voltage rising and falling occur after turning on the channel, so that the max/min is affected by max/min of Rdson at 125deg.C. P.4 shows that the maximum Rdson is and it's x1.32 higher than the typical. Fig.14 shows Rdson at 125deg.C is x1.45 of 25deg.C. It can help to estimate the min/max at 125deg.C. Is my understanding correct?

I agree with you on that the Tr and Tf depend on the board layout and the schematic. I understand that it's also important to consider the propergation delay in gate side. My customer want to know tje min/max as an reference in initial consideration without actual their own design.

    Your cooperation will be appreciated.
    Best Regards, Taki
