Dear all,
For TPS7B7702-Q1 in our application, Vout is 10.5V.
If Vin drop down to be <10V, will the output shutdown or follow the Vin?
Does Short-to-Battery occurs?
Hi Larry,
The Short-to-Battery will not trigger because this check only occurs on the rising edge of the EN pin or when the LDO exits thermal shutdown.
You may however, trigger the reverse current detection if the slew rate of Vin is fast enough or the output capacitors are large. If Vin does not drop below Vout in order to trigger the reverse current current detection, the LDO will enter the dropout region and Vout will follow Vin.
Very Respectfully,
Ryan
