Hello,
For over a month, I've bought 20 IC BQ25882 from Mouser that I cannot use because of a lack of a programming manual. Since my first referral was treated with a total disinterest from the marketing team or those who are dealing with these issues, I need to reopen a new referral on this issue.
Mister Jeff F says to me that manual cannot be published to protect TI IP from competitors. Mr. Guru, what strictly secret information to protect you are referring to? To internal registers and their fields, or at the internal block diagram, or maybe to DC, AC diagrams, or pin assignments, or perhaps on the I2C serial communication protocol. These are common information that must be found at any time in the IC datasheet (if the circuit is already on the marked). It is my right that when I buy a device to have full instructions for its proper use. I think rather that somebody has not finished the job and there is no written datasheet for this IC.
I consider that the way the marketing team treats and solves this situation is a clear violation of consumer rights. As for the lack of disinterest and preferential and discriminatory treatment of the client I have no comment.
