BQ24780S: the difference of I2C access between BQ24725a and BQ24780s

Part Number: BQ24780S
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24725A,

Hi Sir,

We just replace BQ24725a with BQ24780s. I assume the I2C code should be re-used 100% if the register is same. When I write the register 0x12H of ChargeOption, same program success on old PCBA with BQ24725a, but failed on new PCBA with BQ24780s. According to the analysis from LA, the slave address and register byte are got ack, but the first data byte was not acked (NACK). Is there any difference of SW or HW between BQ24725a and BQ24780s's I2C access?

best regards,

Langston
