UCD90160A: UCD90160A

Part Number: UCD90160A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCD90320U, UCD90320, UCD90240, UCD90160

There are some question when I using UCD90160A, please answer me.

1. 《slvub50b》 reuire a serial 200 ohm resistor on on the monitor input which is lower than 2.5V for  UCD90320/UCD90320U/UCD90240.

Does UCD90160 need a 200 ohm resistor on the monitor input which is lower than 2.5V?what is the resistor‘s fuction?why does not need the serial resistor for the input devided by resistor?

2.  if the voltage is 2.8V, can UCD90160A work properly? please refer to attaced file 《UCD90160A circuit》. Would you please help me checkig the drawing?

3.  Can UCD90160A work properly when connecting ADDR0 and ADDR1 to GND with 200K ohm resistor separately?

Thanks a lot

  • Hello

    Please see my answers below.

    1. 200ohm is not required on ucd90160a for voltage below 2.5v

    2. UCd90160A uses ADC to monitor voltage. The internal ADC reference is 2.5V. Therefore any input voltage great than 2.5V need a external voltage divider to scale the voltage below 2.5V. Your schematic looks good.

    3. No, you can not have both 200k since the result address is bigger than 127.
