Linux/BQ27750: turning on BQ27750

hello,

we have this bq27750 installed, and by default, it is off. How can we turn it on, what registers need to be switched to make it run? We can't use bqstudio, but we can program it from a BLE module that is also installed on the PCB.

Hello Zsolt,

Can you clarify the question? You have to plug in the battery for the device to be on. Are you communicating via I2C?

If it is the EVM, make sure to short Pack + and Cell +. That will trigger the device to wake up.

yes, we can communicate via I2C, but we use the onboard BLE chip and processor to do that. We can send commands to the fuel gauge. As I read the docs, AtManufacturerAccess() FET_EN(BIT 5) where we can enable it. Is this correct?

Yeah, if you can send the FET enable command and then turn on the FETs you can chg or dsg your application.
