UCD90160A: Updating the hex file on UCD90160A

I am looking for any documentation on updating/writing the sequence hex file on UCD90160A

The datasheet and UCD90xxx Sequencer and SystemHealthControllerPMBusCommandReference do not have information on updating sequencer memory.

From the hex file the address range is 8000h to 8FE0h

Can this addr range by accessed by smbus commands?

Does the sequence need to be stopped before doing this?

Hello Hithesh

I would recommend using data flash write script file instead data flash hexfile.

The data flash write script has converted the hex file into a particular I2C commands which is recognized by the chip. This can save your lots of time to manually parse and pack the hex file.

What does the first line of the hex file stand for?

Is it the checksum? If not, is there a way to get the checksum for the hex file.

Do you check the data flash script file? it will save your lots of time to parse the hexfile.

The checksum is included in the file.

you can get the details format of intel hex file from below. Basically, the first line is a header without real data.

There is check sum at end of each line.

Is there a check sum for the entire file?

Yes, the hex file has two parts: user configuration and log.both have checksum respectively.
