Hello,

according to SLUUB45B, i am trying to perform CEDV calculation for my 4S3P battery pack monitored with BQ78350-R1. In configuration file i have to choose ChemType, and which chem type should i choose. In chemistry updater tool in BqStudio, chemistry of US18650VTC6 is identified as NiCoMn(carbon).

Any help appreciated

Hi Adrian,

This is the correct selection. Sometimes the description can be a little confusing, but this ChemID is for a Sony US18650VTC6 battery cell:

Since this is a CEDV gauge, the ChemID is only used for the initial estimate of the battery state of charge and remaining capacity upon power-up or reset.
