Hi Colin:
In China,Some Power supply companies will have a contract with Magnetic device company . For example, if the power supply company create a new part number in the magnetic device company, then the Magnetic company can only sell the part number device to the power supply company. It is not allowed to sell to other customer.
LOA is a document like this contract.
Since TI is not a Power supply company, there should not be a LOA with TI and the Magnetic device company.

If I can get all the dimention and details of cores used and conductor then I can make it by myself.

In that type of core, what is the material type we have to choose in our application? there are variety of material like N95,N87 etc...
So what is the material I should choose?

Depends on the switching frequency and the core losses you can tolerate - at 100kHz I have used Ferroxcube 3C96 or sometimes 3C95. the main difference is that the 3C96 losses at 100C are lower than those of 3C95.

I am not going to reccomend Ferroxcube over other suppliers - to be honest I don't think there is much difference between them so, if you are planning to switch at around 100kHz then I'd suggest you look for an equivalent to 3C96 from your favoured supplier.
