Hello,

I build a boostcontroller with the aid of WEBENCH. I used the components that WEBENCH suggested

The specifications are :

Vin 4.5-5.5V

Vout 12V

Iout 300mA

The circuit works, but does not hold its output voltage while load increases.

What can be the cause?

Hi Martin,

Thank you for using the TPS40210. It sounds like the circuit hits the cycle by cycle current limit. You can try to reduce the current sense resistor first. If this does not solve our problem, we would like you to post your schematic for a review.

Hello Youhao, thank you for your quick reply. I made a link over the current sense resistor but it didn't solve the problem.

Hello Youhao. I found the cause of the problem. It is in the LC-filter at the output. Thanks for helping!
