SM74611: Replacing Schottky diode with SM74611

Guru 16770 points
Part Number: SM74611

Hi

In customer application, the Schottky diode is used for blocking reverse current from batter to batter.

Refer following figure of which diodes are surrounded by red marker.

So We assume SM74611 could be used for this usecase.

1.  Would this replacement be reasonable?

2.  According to Figure 3 of datasheet, reverse current is lower than 0.01uA at 25C over reverse voltage between 5V to 28V.

While, IR(reverse leakage current) in chapter 6.5 (Electrical Characteristics) shows 0.3uA at 25C.

Which is correct?

3.  As reverse voltage in customer application, it is about 0.1V to 0.5V.

This range is not specified in Figure 3.

In this case, similarly, could the reverse current be assumed lower than 0.01uA?

BestRegards
