TPS548A20: Ripple injection circuit

Part Number: TPS548A20

TPS548A20 datasheet Fig 50 and EVM schematic has external ripple injection circuit.

TPS548A20 is DCAP3 device. So I think ripple injection circuit is not required.

Why do datasheet Fig 50 and EVM schematic have this external circuit? Is it needed?

    You can please ignore it. The EVM built with optional and did not populate it.

    Thank you for your answer.
    Is it mistake of datasheet? Do you have plan to correct datasheet and EVM application note?

    And isn't external ripple injection circuit needed in any case?

    Hello Kohei,

    Since the device has the internal ripple injection, the limitation would be on LC filter design which explains on section 7.3.3 on page 16 of datasheet.

    If the customer designs the LC filter outside of this recommendation range, the external RCC ripple injection will be helpful. Otherwise, there is no need for external RCC network.

    Regarding of RCC on Figure 50 in datasheet and EVM, it is an optional to design for the reason above. There is no need to change the datasheet or EVM.
