TPS92691: About meaning of VO

Part Number: TPS92691

Hi,

The following contents are described in the data sheet.

Does VO mean LED+ to LED- voltage?
Or LED+ to GND voltage?
Please tell me the meaning of VO.

Best Regards,

Yusuke

  • Hi Yusuke,

I assume this is equation 25 for the Buck Boost case. VO(ov) is the voltage setting for Vout over voltage protection. The FET's Drain to Source voltage rating has to be able to handle the maximum voltage that can be on in. For the Buck Boost case the highest voltage is when there is no load and the max output voltage will be the over votlage protection voltage setting.

    Thanks Tuan
  • Tuan-san,

Thank you for your kind support.
I apologize, I did not make myself clear.

Customers want to know the definition of "VO".
I mentioned VO(ov) as an example.
Could you tell me the definition of "VO" in the data sheet?

VO refers to the voltage across the LED (Anode-cathode voltage).
    Is this understanding correct?

    Best Regards,
    Yusuke
  • Yusuke-san,

Yes, Vo is the voltage accross the LED (Anode - Cathode voltage).

    Thanks Tuan
