Dear Team,

Can you please check the customer comment below ?

The parameter that bothers us is the “ External current limit accuracy” which is in our case +/- 15% .

This accuracy force us to design a power supply that can supply more current – a disadvantage for us, Please check if this inaccuracy is actually smaller ?
What is the total current limit accuracy if we combine the “External current limit accuracy” with temperature effects ?

Is there any way to more tight current limit accuracy with the device ?

Hello,

What load are you driving?

The current limit accuracy spec includes temperature process and aging factors into it. I will check to look into if you can tighten that spec.

Thanks for your reply.

For the first circuit:
1. The load is 800 mA of inrush current for about 120msec.

2. For the second circuit:

1. The load is double - 1600 mA of inrush current for about 120msec.

What is the nominal load being driven by each?
Note that they should not be operating at the current limit. Are they wanting the HSS to clamp the inrush current or are they wanting to let that through but worried about changes afterwards?
