BQ24070: STAT1 / STAT2 LEDs flashing when battery is around 4V

Hi,

I am using BQ24070RHLT to controll charging of a 3100 mAh li-ion battery at 1,3A max current. I am using 1uF capacitor at BAT output. If charging starts with battery at around 4V or higher, both STAT1 and STAT2 LED are flashing at around 9 Hz. On the scope connected to BAT pin I observed that voltage is shifting from battery voltage (eg. 3.94V) to 4.16V and back. It seems that the chip is terminating the charging too quickly, and enters battery recharge state right away. Could you help me resolve this?

Hello,
As stated in the datasheet, can you please have a minimum of 33uF capacitor on the battery pin. Let me know if that fixes the issue.
If not, can you please post your schematic and a scope capture of the STAT1 and STAT2 pins.
