Dear,

I want to design 9V battery back-up /charge circuit for my GSM/GPRS/GPS module at input side I have 12V battery and want to charge 9V battery to get back-up for circuit if input voltage/battery disconnected from circuit.

What type of battery, LiIon or Lead Acid? What is the battery capacity and/or desired max charge current?

Hi sir,

i am using Ni-MH 300mAh 9V battery for my IOT application. I am using 2 MOSFET 1 for charging and another for discharging and also want to protect battery from over voltage and under voltage. I and to charge this battery 50mA to 100mA of current.

Amol,

TI does not have a NiMh battery charger to fit your exact application. I recommend using a TI linear regulator with current limit at 50-100mA and adjustable output voltage. The regulator would run in current limit and regulate to the 9V output voltage. Termination would not be ideal.
