UC3854: Totem Pole PFC

Dear Team,

Is UC3854 suitable for universal input, 200kHz 400V/5A output application?

Or you will suggest another analog controller for this application?
Please provide the analog version of the application if you have it.

At the moment TI does not have an analog reference design that demonstrates a totem pole pfc.

Hi Kuan Wei,

According to your request, I recommend PFC Controller UCC28180, which is also an often recommendation for customers currently.
UCC28180 has only 8 pins and an integrated gate drive output , which is more easier for use and design.
Besides, we also has a mature reference design of 3.5-kw, cost competitive power factor regulator converter using UCC28180. Please find it from below link.

Do you know what is the limitation cause TI's analog controller doesn't implement in totem pole PFC?

Driving the mosfet that replaces the boost diode is the main issue.
