TL432: TL432 Temp.

Part Number: TL432

Dear Team,

For now, Customer used TL432BIDBZR for Flyback feedback control in their project.

They tested under ambient 71degC condition and measured the case temperature of TL432BIDBZR is about 100degC.

Customer want to know can TL432BIDBZR work correctly under ambient 71degC condition?

Or they need to change to Q device, which can support up to 125degC

Thanks for your feedback.

Kevin

  • Hi Kevin Chen,

The TL432BIDBZR is functional till Tj = 150C. If the case is 100C then the Tj is probably very close to 100C so the device will function. No risk of damage to this device since ABS MAX is not violated.
Since this is an I grade, the EC are guaranteed between -40C and 85C. Since the customer is operating outside of this range, certain specifications are not valid such as temperature drift.
If they are going to be at 71C constantly then they should go to TL432LIBQDBZR or TL432LIAQDBZR or TL432BQDBZR.
