Hi Team,

Please check the option for a common I2C wiring for both FG (BQ27621EVM) and charger (BQ25892EVM).

Currently, I’m connected via the I2C only to the FG – maybe there’s a split connector for the EV2400 (as it has only one I2C port)?

    Hello Shlomi，

    EV2400 only has one I2C port, you could do some work on the I2C wire to connect both devic with one port on EV2400.

    And if you are using bqstudio to connected charge and gauge in one I2C port, the tool will recognize gauge for high priority. You need disconnect the connection with PC and reopen bqstudio, select the charger device and then connect to PC with EV2400.

    Hi Jessica,

    I need to create plots of both charge and discharge of my battery.

    As I understand, the gauge is the highest priority, so why do I need to need to disconnect the connection with PC and reopen bqstudio, select the charger device and then connect to PC with EV2400 again? I only need the charger to keep charging the battery while the gauge keeps monitoring it.

    That's how we have the ev2400 designed. Since it has only one port, you will need to splice the line by using additional wires if you want charger comms.

    If you're just doing charging and dsg, you can monitor the current using the gauge register.
