TPS659037: Tolerance of POWERGOOD pin

Part Number: TPS659037

Hi,

Please let me ask about the tolerance of POWERGOOD pin because there is no specification clearly. I guess that the maximum rating should be 2.15V or 5.25V as listed in abs max rating.

Best Regards,

Satoshi

  • Satoshi-san,

I have assigned this thread to the expert on the TPS659037 device and she will respond as soon as possible.

Note that the time from Dec. 24th through Jan. 2 is an important US Holiday period, and answers to questions may be delayed.
  • Hi Brian,

Thank you for your support. I'm waiting for your update.

  • Satoshi-san,

As shown in section 4.17 of the specifications table in the TPS659037 datasheet, the maximum pull up voltage allowance is VRTC. The LDOVRTC that supplies this voltage has a 1.85V max (section 4.6 of the spec table).

As you show in the absolute max ratings, the pin can sustain up to 2.15V before risk of damage. Operating above the VRTC level (above 1.85V and before 2.15V) will not guarantee proper operation of the pin, only that the pin will not be damaged.

    Thanks,
    Nastasha
