Dear Experts,

Condition: Input 12V, output 3.7V, loading 2.5A

We found high side Vds of TPS54628 will be about 18V.

Is TPS54628 high/low Vds rating the same as 20V (22V<10ns)? Could you help checking voltage rating spec of high side Vds?

If answer is yes, 18V is over our 85% derating guideline.Would you think it will be a risk?

Hi Bob,

SW pin 10ns transient voltage is 21V. If SW doesn't exceed 21V in 10ns , no risk. Also SW is low side VDS.

Hi Gavin,

Our SW pin measurement result is under 14V.

But we also measure voltage between Vin to SW and its result is about 18V, so we want to know high side Vds specification to define our test criteria.

Could you help provide this HS Vds spec? or it can define as Vin(max) - SW(min) =22V? thanks.

Hi Bob,
Usually we only take a look at SW spike. Pls don't calculate High side Vds spec... We just need to ensure Vin and SW pin is within the range spec.
