Is BQ24171 good for application that with removeable battery pack?

Can System get power from adapter even if battery absent?

    Hi,
    In general, it should be fine to use BQ24171 in removable battery pack application because this pat has power path to separate battery and system.
    And this part also has battery detection feature to detect battery is absent or not .
