BQ24075: Not charging!

Hello,

We made a circuit design in which we use the BQ24075 power management chip. However we encounter some problems with charging the battery.

We use a 5V adapter and we do see proper changes in /PGOOD.

But the voltage at the pins of ISET, ILIM and TS are zero.

The enable pins are both set to zero volt.

Does anybody know what might be the problem?

Hello Jannes,
Did you check for shorts on those pins when the 5V adapter is both absent and present? What voltage is on the /CE pin?

The voltage on the /CE pin equals zero and is directly grounded. On all three pins I could not detect a short.

The issue is resolved! Seemed that we used the BQ24075TRGTR instead of the BQ24075RGTR.

It did not charge since the BQ24075TRGTR needs a voltage divider at the TS pin, which we did not have in our design.
