BQ25713: Sharing power sense resistor with fuel gauge IC

Part Number: BQ25713
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ34110

Hi

Sorry if this is a really stupid question but I'm looking at a system with a BQ25713 charging a 2S battery configuation and the BQ34110 fuel gauge and I'm wondering if I could share the current sense resistor between the two of them or if it's a horribly bad idea.  Both have a network between the resistor and the inputs to the IC but I'm wondering if I can duplicate that  filtering network or not.

Thanks!
