TPS22965: Schematics clarification

Part Number: TPS22965

Hi, Can i make schematics of TPS22965 as ATTACHEDTI-QUERY.pptx

  • Hi Murugavel,

Thanks for reaching out on E2E!

Based on your schematic, if the ON pin, VBIAS, and VIN are all connected to the same input supply, the device might not have sufficient time to power up the internal circuitry (charge pump, gate voltage, etc). Therefore, the controlled slew rate can't be guaranteed. Is it possible to keep the ON pin on a separate enable line, or does it need to be connected to VIN? In order to guarantee the slew rate performance, ON must be toggled after VIN and VBIAS have reached steady state.

    Thanks,

    Arthur Huang

  • Hi Arthur Huang,

Thanks for the reply. We are planning to use single LDO with output of 3V.In the case we don't have separate rail to connect on ON pin of the IC. Could you suggest any idea on the ON pin?

    Thanks,

  • Hi Murugavel,

You can try including an RC delay on the ON pin if leakage isn't a concern. If inrush current isn't a concern for your downstream load, you can keep the circuit the way it is, and VOUT will follow the voltage on VIN.

    Thanks,
