TPS65310A-Q1: About BUCK2/BUCK3 output capacitor value

Part Number: TPS65310A-Q1

Dear all:

In the datasheet about TPS65310-Q1, the part 9.2.2.2.3 compensation of the buck2/buck3 converters. It said the output capacitor must be chosen so that "L*Cout*Vbuck2/buck3" product is equal to or less than one of the thrree values,as list in table 4.

but I find that when I use 40uF*2.7*1.2V, is equal to129.6. It is larger than 125, that is why?

  • Hi,

Please select the compensation option which is close to the number provided in the data sheet. 129 is very close to 125 and hence it is better to use GND option. If the calculated value is more close to 250, select Open option. It need not be exact and this is just the guideline and stability needs to be verified on your board.

Can you please let me know the customer details?

    Regards,

    Murthy
