As a part of my thesis, I have to design a buck converter with switching frequency of 1MHz to 2MHz. A planar inductor (spiral) will be designed on a PCB and I have to study the EMC characteristics. I am somewhat stuck in selecting the right components. As we don't have sophisticated equipment to solder some components, my choices are limited to select components with packages which can be hand-soldered.
Any help/suggestions in selecting components would help me a lot in going forward.
