Linux/TPS53679: The Linux driver for TPS536C6

Dear Sir:

   We used the TI TPS536C6 and TPS53681 in our projects.

   1) About the "drivers/hwmon/pmbus/tps53679.c" (Linux driver for TPS53679) in Linux kernel 4.xx.

   1-1) We already used this Linux driver for TPS53681.

   2) But we cannot find the Linux driver for TPS536C6.

   Q2-1) Could you tell us how to download the Linux driver for the TPS536C6?

  3) About the NVM programming

  3-1) In the "slua888_NVM_Programming_for_VR13_Power_Controllers.pdf" document, Chapter 1 Introduction, it said:

      >>  This guide gives an overview of NVM programming for the following TI VR13 controller devices:

      >>   TPS53679, TPS53659, TPS53622, TPS53678, TPS53658, TPS53655 and TPS53681.

 Q3-2) Is the "slua888_NVM_Programming_for_VR13_Power_Controllers.pdf" document applicable for TPS53681 and TPS536C6 both?

    Hello Hank,

    As stated in another thread of yours we do not directly provide/support Linux drivers for our controllers. The 3rd party drivers you downloaded already in that thread might work for basic functionality with the TPS536C6 but I have no insight into if or how well it will work.

    The programming guide you've downloaded for our controllers will most definitely work for both the TPS53681 and TPS536C6. However, since the C6 is a new generation of controller it might not have all the features addressed in that document. The base functionality though is still the same as previous generations.

    1) We will try to use the "tps53679.c" driver for the TPS536C6.

    2) And we will follows the "slua888_NVM_Programming_for_VR13_Power_Controllers.pdf" document for the NVM programming of TPS53681 and TPS536C6.

    Please do us a favor to close this case.
