TPS65218D0: TPS65218D0 alternative PMIC solution

Hi PMIC team,

I'm looking for TPS65218D0 alternative PMIC solution.

The reason why I'm looking for is TPS65218D0 Iq is high and my customer wants to reduce it.

If you have any other alternative solution, could you let me know?

    How high is the Iq you measure with TPS65218D0? When I measure Iq on TPS65218D0 in Standby Mode, I measure approximately 1uA (datasheet says typical 5uA).

    How low is the Iq requirement for your design?

    Hi Brian,

    The meaning of "High Iq" here is not TPS65218D0 Iq is higher than datasheet spec but TPS65218D0 Iq is high in their system.

    They want to reduce power consumption in their total system so they are looking for lower Iq PMIC than TPS65218D0 if we have such PMIC which supports AM437x series.

    Kai,

    The TPS65218D0 is the PMIC with the lowest Iq, and the SLEEP (STANDBY) state achieved by the TPS65218D0 + AM335x/AM4x processors in RTC-mode is the lowest power mode possible.

    Unless your customer provides an estimate of the target Iq requirement of the system, then I cannot provide any more information.
