TPS61042: TPS61042 how to use CTRL

Part Number: TPS61042

Hi there,

At present our customers need to design an LCD backlight solution, the demand: 6 string 2 and, that is, the maximum voltage of each string: 19.2V, 2 and the maximum current is 40mA later.
So please help us to see if the TPS61042 IC is available. Can you give us some suggestions or attention points in the control signal (CTRL), thank you.

  • Hi Eason,
What's your input voltage range and your LED configure is 6 Leds per channel? and 2 string? 40mA is for each channel or two channels total? Since TPS61042 has the low vin range, we alos have lots of choice for backlight driver. I need detail application information to check whether TPS61042 is the good choice or not.
    Regards
    Sean
  • Hi Eason,
As we talked in the phone today, just apply the PWM signal to CTRL pin is ok to drive this device, you don't need to conside the seperate enable signal.
