LM5041: LM5041 and Magnetic Feedback (UC2901) instead of Optocoupler

Part Number: LM5041
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UC2901

Dear Sir,

I want to use magnetic feedback instead of Optocoupler with LM5041.

1. Is it possible to use magnetic feedback for this topology at 400KHz to 900KHz with UC2901.

  • Hello Johny,
Yes it is possible to use the UC901 isolated feedback generator with the LM5041.
The voltage error amplifier on the LM5041 has an error voltage of 0.75V and so the UC901 needs to generate this voltage when the system is in regulation.
I do not have a reference design for this application so I suggest you check the design information available for the UC901.
    Regards
    John
