TPS61029: Maximum Output Current for TPS61029

Hi Team,

I understand TPS61020 has 1.5A current limit and TPS61029 has 1.8A current limit of adjustable output.
The datasheet shows graph of "Maximum Output Current" for TPS61020 as the following however there isn't graph for TPS61029.

Do you have the same graph for TPS61029?
My customer wants to know "Maximum Output Current" for TPS61029 under Vin=1.2V, Vout=5V or Vout=3.3V in particular.

Hi Yaita:
After confirmed with team, there is no same graph of TPS61029.
You could calculate the value by current limit and the Vin, Vout and estimated efficiency.

Is there any way to estimate efficiency under input current is 1500mA~ of TPS61029?

The datasheet shows efficiency curve of TPS61020, TPS61025, TPS61027 however these devices are all 1500 mA current lmit and doesn't show efficiency above 1500mA.
My customer wants to know maximum output current for TPS61029 under Vin=1.2V, Vout=5V or Vout=3.3V.

Hi Yaita:
We tested a circuit based on TPS61029 in our lab at Vin=1.2V, Vout=3.3V, T=25℃. The efficiency is around 80%-90% from Io=20mA to 300mA. The result is just for reference only.
Besides, I'm sorry that I have no accurate number for Vout=5V.

Hi Minqiu-san,

I wants to know efficiency more than Io=300mA~ in this case.
I understand there is no efficiency data to determine maximum output current of TPS61029 (Vin=1.2V, Vout=5V or Vout=3.3V).

By the way, is there EVM for TPS61029(current limit: 1800mA) or TPS61026(current limit: 1800mA)?

Hi Yaita:
It's good choice to do a bench test.
As far as I know, there is only TPS61020EVM in TI.COM. You could apply one and replace the socket with TPS61029.
