TPS65150: Vin=5V, Vout=14V/20mA, -14V/XmA, -5V/20mA

Hi all

Would you mind if we ask TPS65150?

Is it possbile to configure Vin=5V, Vout=14V/20mA, -14V/XmA, -5V/20mA using TPS65150?
If it is not suitable it using TPS65150, could you give us recommended device?
If you have some reference design, could you share us it?

Hello Matsumoto-san,

TPS65150 is suitable to support the voltage and current requirements you mentioned in your post.

Thank you for your reply.

On the document which you mentioned, it seems that negative voltage output is one port, -5V.
So, we need two minus voltage, -14V and -5V.

<Our request>
Vin=5V
Vout=14V/20mA, -14V/XmA, -5V/20mA

Does it mean that we should configure charge pump using -5V?
If you have some schematic, could you share us it?

Hello Matsumoto-san,

I am sorry that I understood that you needed +14V and either -14V or -5V but not both negative voltages. If you need both negative voltages, I would suggest to use combination of TPS65130 and MC79L05. You can configure TPS65130 to generate +14V and -14V and use MC79L05 or a similar negative LDO to generate -5V from the -14V out of TPS65130 i.e. the negative output supply of TPS65130 can feed the input supply of the negative LDO MC79L05. I hope that these devices will meet your application needs.
