TPS2051B: Vbus protection for USB ON THE GO

Hi all

Would you mind if we ask TPS2051B?
We are looking for Vbus protection for USB ON THE GO, is TPS2051B suitable for it?
If you have some recommended device, could you let us know?

    Hi, Hirotaka-san,

    TPS2051B can support current flow from OUT to IN when VIN supplied and Enabled, but it don't support current limit at this backward case.

    We don't have specialized power switch for OTG in our product line, but I can give a proposal using TPS2051. If you don't need current limit from OUT to IN, I suggest you use a diode in parallel with TPS2051. This way, if the Vout have a voltage, the voltage will be built in Vin pin through diode, and TPS2051B will be enabled and powered. Then internal FET turn on, and current can flow through internal FET from OUT to IN.

    If you are not satisfied with this proposal, I suggest you to ask if there's this kind of power switch specialized for OTG in other TI product line.
