DCPA10505D: Replacement from DCP010505D

Hi Team,

My customers are using DCP010505D. There was nothing wrong.

They are considering replacing DCPA10505D for price reduction.

I know that DCPA10505D is better withstand voltage, can the device be replaced without problems?

I would like to know the point to be careful when replacing.

Also, please give me the same information about DCP010505 and DCPA10505 of single output.

    Hi Kenji,

    The DCPA10505D is pin to pin compatible with the DCP010505D device. I don't see any issues with using the DCPA10505D in your design. If anything the DCPA10505D device provides a higher operation isolation rating 2kVDC and slightly higher thermal shutdown at 168degC.

    Hi Kenji-san,

    Yes you can expect similar performance for the single output version. The single output version for both will regulate to 5V typical.

    ② Please tell us the reasons for development and the development concept.
    ③ Product positioning
    　DCPA10505P-U/700 is the successor to DCP010505DBP-U/700?
    ④ Is it possible to think that the characteristics at startup are the same as DCP010505DBP-U/700?
    　When designing the DCP 010505 DBP-U / 700, they confirmed the operation of sucking in a large current at startup.
    　And they have experience of failing to match with the power supply of the system.
    　They do not want to fail the same at DCPA10505P-U/700, so I would like to carefully judge the replacement.

    Hi Kenji-san,

    1) The devices in the DCPA1 family released in April 2017

    2) These devices have improved start-up performance than previous generation.

    3) DCPA1 is successor to DCP01

    4) The DCPA1 devices have improved start-up behavior which includes a soft-start feature that prevents high in-rush current during start-up.

    An EVM can be ordered to evalute the DCPA1 device at
