TPS2546: Charging mode question

Hellp.

The HW of CTL1~3 is set as a consideration. Please kindly help suggest the contains the most charging application (android / apple). Thanks~

    That is a difficult question to answer without a little more detail about your system:

    If you can answer these questions for me, I can provide a better recommendation.

    1. Do you need data passthrough to support full USB communication?
    2. Do you have a MCU that can change the configuration of the CTRL lines when you change modes?
    3. Does you power source have a maximum current you want to support?

    If you can answer these, then I can give you a recommendation.

    A : We need, because the NB USB port support BC1.2

    2. Do you have a MCU that can change the configuration of the CTRL lines when you change modes?
    A : There is currently no MCU to control it, so see if there is pure HW mode control.

    3. Does you power source have a maximum current you want to support?
    A : 5V 1.5A

    Aj,

    Based on your requirements, you customer will need to configure the TPS2546 to be a CDP. This will require CTL1,2,3 to be tied high and ILIM_SEL to be high as well.

    This will advertise 1.5A of current and support pass through data communication.
