TPS61165: LED Short circuit protection

Hi,

We got a question from the customer about TPS61165.
Could you help us?

They are concerned smoke and burn of Rfb and damage to FB pin voltage rating at the condition which LED+ short to LED-. Are there any protection circuits for this?

    Hi Tateo,
    If LED+ short to LED-, it will trigger internal current limit and it will shutdown the switching, but there is a loop from Vin->inductor->Diode->RFB, this is very dangous and the inductor will get saturation, we don't have protection for this phenomenon.
